Boat Owners

Please note, boat owner applications are now closed for the Bristol Harbour Festival 2024

Boat Owners

This year it has been necessary to make changes to the festival layout and procedures due to the introduction of the Live Aboard Licences. Boat owners who have opted for this type of licence will be permitted to remain on their mooring.

The Harbour Authority have taken the decision that boat owners on Marina South will also have the opportunity to remain on their mooring, by purchasing a Festival Licence.

The application process must be made through the Sail Bristol app. This is available to download free of charge on the App store or Google Store and holds useful information about the Harbour.

The Harbour office will be open during the festival at the times listed:

Friday 19th July 08.00 – 20.00 (tbc)

Saturday 20th July 10.00 – 19.00 (tbc)

Sunday 21st July 12.00 – 17.00 (tbc)

Please read the following information about changes to the Harbour Festival application process.

Pontoon Marshalls

This year we will not be appointing club Pontoon Marshalls. The Harbour Authority will provide staff to direct vessels to their allocated berths upon arrival and be available throughout the event.

For safety reasons, unless you are navigating the harbour your vessel should remain on its assigned mooring.

Club Point of Contact

We ask that each club nominates a Point of Contact to liaise with the Harbour Office on behalf of the club. This person will not be expected to perform any other duties.

The Harbour Office appreciates that club members like to be berthed together and some clubs prefer to be moored with other clubs. We will try to take this into account, however, due to operational reasons this may not always be possible.

Applications are now open to everyone on the Sail Bristol app. Allocations will be made on a first come first served basis depending on the vessel type and once the allocation is full then the application process will be closed. On application you will be asked to pay. Once payment is made, you will then receive a confirmatory email.

This year the Harbour Festival fees are as follows:

· £50 for vessels already moored in Bristol Harbour

· £70 for those navigating into Bristol

This is a non-refundable payment.

On the day

From midday Thursday 18th July, attendees will be able to collect their Harbour Festival map and wristbands from the Harbour Office. These will not be available until this date.

On Friday 19th, July 2024 the Harbour Office will be open for vessels that have not pre-booked. These vessels will be offered any unallocated berths and, this will be on a first come first served basis.

On arrival Harbour staff will direct vessels to their allocated mooring.

We look forward to seeing you and your club members at this year’s Harbour Festival!
